During the Cowboy game today, we had a few little friends over. Adam and Olivia came over with their dad Kirk, and Blake across the street came over too. The boys had fun running around the neighborhood and playing Xbox and Wii, while the girls put on makeup and high heels. We cooked out chicken wings, hotdogs, mac and cheese, and baked beans. We topped it all off with a few brownies for dessert. GO COWBOYS!

Friday Fun!
Friday we hung out all night as a family. We stopped by Joe's Pizza for some yummy pizza and spagetti. Then we came home and took a walk around the neighborhood. Somehow, after being at school all day and then taking a walk, the kids still had TONS of energy. SO, we set up the chairs, and I sat and watched the kids ride their bikes and scooters, then enjoyed some popsicles to top off the night. I really wish I had the energy of a 9 and 4 year old!!!

Relaxing
I came home to a big suprise from my kids today. I was complaining about it being Monday, and how tired and exhausted I have been lately. When I pulled up in the garage, I was escorted to the bathroom, where my kids were there to say "Ta Da"! They had made me a bubble bath with candles all around it. Thanks guys! I REALLY needed that!

Homecoming Parade
Tonight was Coppell's homecoming parade. Blake's football team decorated a float in the parade. Brooklyn was there riding behind the float on the four-wheeler. Kids were lining the street waiting for people to throw candy. Blake's teacher told me he has been talking about being in this parade all week! He was so excited!
Go Coppell Black!!!

Santana
My neighbor invited me to the Santana concert on Wednesday with a few of her friends. I am not the biggest Santana fan, but how could I turn down free VIP tickets (we literally had VIP arm bracelets)? It turned out to be a fun girls night out! There are a few songs I knew that I had to stand up and dance to. One of my favorite things is to watch people having fun! It gets me into the best mood. Everyone was up dancing and having a good time. What a great night!

We miss you Ryan!
Blake, Brooklyn, Mom, G-Mom, Brad, and myself got together at 6:40, along with all of our other family in different cities, to release balloons for Ryan's birthday. We miss you so much, but know you are watching over Anna and Jack!

The sports season has started!!!
Let our crazy Saturdays begin!! Saturday was the first day of sports craziness! It started with an 8:45 soccer game for Brooklyn....her first one! She did really well. She even scored a goal! Even if it was at the other team's goal, I was still cheering and jumping up and down for her. Right after the game, we had to rush Brooklyn to dance class at Powerhouse in Dallas. Mom was driving like crazy as I was in the back seat changing her into her dance outfit. From dance, we rushed to Blake's football game. Blake played awesome! I can tell he has much more confidence in himself to tackle and go for the ball. I love that he is so into football. Go Coppell Black!

Blake turns 9
So another year, another birthday for my big boy Blake. Where did 9 years go??? Someone told me once they turn 9, that is half way until they move out of the house...tear! Don't tell me that!!! I can't even imagine that! I remember the minute I started having contractions. I was so excited. 13 hours later, my life changed 100 percent for the better. I love you Blakie! You will always be my little boy. You amaze me every day!!! I am so proud of you! Well, we had to celebrate in a big way. Blake got to pick a few friends to go to Great Wolf Lodge for a sleepover. If you haven't ever been there, it is soooo cool. Such a great place for kids. It has a HUGE water park inside. Since he started football again for the fall, we kinda did a football theme, and I made the cake! I know, "little miss not so Suzy Homemaker" actually made the cake!

LA trip
This past weekend I went to LA for Labor Day weekend. I have to admit that I am a major celebrity follower, so this was a dream come true. Unfortunately I only got to see Paulie Shore, but a friend was hanging out at the same place with Justin Long and Kirsten Dunst the night before I got there. I got to do so many fun things like going to Santa Monica beach, shopping at Kitson and Lisa Kline, brunching at The Ivy, driving around Bel Air and Malibu, and checking out the Chinese Theatre. I stayed with Stephanie and her boyfriend Chris in their amazing house in the mountains. The views were breathtaking!!!! I can't wait to go back!
This is a picture from Stephanie's balcony.
Dinner at El Compadre...YUM YUM!
