Turkey Day!

Thanksgiving day was GREAT! We had a wonderful time visiting with family and all the little babies we have in our family right now. It was so good to catch up and visit. I am so thankful for my wonderful family! I love you guys!

Can't get enough baby love!!!!

The boys playing football. Blake looked forward to this for weeks! He was in heaven playing football all day.

Our family tradition on Thanksgiving and Christmas Day....Sauerkraut! YUM!!!!!

This picture cracks me up! It is kind of an inside joke between my sister and me, but I had to add it to the blog.

Turkey Drive

Friday was CISD's annual Turkey drive. The third graders are always the ones to 'host' this wonderful event. They make the signs to hang around the school letting the kids know to bring a frozen turkey. Then the morning of the turkey drive, they help get the turkeys out of the cars as the parents drop of their kids in the morning. It was a VERY cold morning Friday, which made it a little bit harder to be out collecting turkeys (especially frozen turkeys). The third graders didn't seem to mind one bit! They had a blast. Lakeside ended up collected 364 turkeys....the most out of all of the other elementary schools in Coppell! Way to go!

Brooklyn's bday party

This morning we had sis' little (or should I say HUGE) birthday party. We had a joint birthday party with sweet little Evan from her class. They are both turning 5 years old. Can you believe that??!! We had their party at Pump It Up. If you haven't ever been there, it is this huge warehouse filled with inflatables to jump on. Blake had his birthday party here when he turned 5 too. Brooklyn has been looking forward to this day for weeks. She looked so precious in her "It's My Party" shirt with rhinestones in the shape of a cupcake, her cupcake tights, cupcake necklace, and pink tutu. When she started jumping, we took off the tutu and she had a cupcake skirt to put on that matched her tights. What a FUN party!

The party kiddos...Brooklyn and Evan

This is my favorite picture of Brooklyn and Evan. I love the look on Evan's face when Brooklyn is talking to him!

Making a "pilot"

Last night was a night full of storms. We were playing Candy Land and it started pouring, so immediately both kids said they were sleeping in my room. (They hate the thunder and lightening during storms!!!!) We could see the rain was not slowing down one bit, so we made a pallet (or as Brooklyn calls it, a PILOT) on the floor for both kids. They both were happy, and I didn't have to wake up in the middle of the night to kids calling my name to come get them. I soooo remember doing the same thing as a child! All those nights of bringing my comforter and pillow in my mom's room and making a "pilot" on her floor!

Dancing Through the Decades

Blake had his third grade program at school on Thursday. It was sooooo cute! The kids danced to songs from the 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, and 90s. Days before the performance, I got emails and all kinds of comments from the 3rd grade teachers, PE teacher, and music teacher how "Blake is going to be the star of the show", and how "Blake really has the moves". I was so anxious to see the show and see these moves everyone was talking about. They performed the program Thursday morning for the school, and Oh MY GOODNESS, I was cracking up so hard I was crying!!!! Blake was shaking those hips like nobodies business!!!! I have never seen him get so into it before. I heard comments from teachers and kids all throughout the day about his moves! We went that night to see the performance for the parents, and I was telling everyone to watch how Blake shakes his hips. They were laughing so hard they were crying too! I guess all those dance parties we have at our house have really paid off! As Mandy says, he is our next Justin Timberlake!!!

Fun at Children's Courtyard

Brooklyn's school has had so many fun things going on. She got to dress up for Halloween and have a parade in the school. She loved seeing all of her friends dressed up.

Class picture...Brooklyn is Dora.

Waiting for the parade to start.
For Election Day, the kids went through the entire voting process by signing in, and getting a ballot. They got to vote for the movie they will watch on Friday.....either Cars or Ratatouille.
Waiting to sign in to vote.

Class picture after everyone voted.
