Valentine's Class Parties

The kids had great Valentine's class parties. I got to sneak into Blake's for a little bit while my room mom watched my class for our class party. Then I headed over to Brooklyn's school to hang out at her class party. Unfortunately, I had the time wrong, and got to her's at the end. She had fun anyways, so that is all that matters. I LOVE this holiday!

Happy "ValentiMes" Day

Blake has an amazing teacher who sent this video to all the parents.....

Lakeside Carnival

It is once again time for our school's fabulous carnival. It is such a HUGE success, and Blake and Brooklyn LOVE going! I have been taking both of them since they were tiny babies. It is so nice now because they can run around and do their own thing with their friends, and I can enjoy myself at the silent auction.....and bid on WAY too many items. This year Blake won two cakes at the cake walk.....YUM! We are still enjoying them. I wish I would of taken more pictures, but it is hard to get those two kids still long enough to take a picture!

Blake's first stop....the fake casts!

100th Day of School

So last week was a very important day at Lakeside Elementary.....the 100th day of school. Everyone dresses up like they are 100 years old. This year our principal was not going to be at school on the 100th day, so we pushed it up a day to the 99th day of school. Well, we had that much needed "snow" day, so we ended up having the big celebration on the 98th day of school....what's a few days early, huh?!?! I took a few pictures of Blake dressed up. Last year he had a wig, and went all out. This year we spray painted his hair gray, and he had a cane and some glasses. He loved it though. It is always a great accomplishment to get to 100th day of school. Now the countdown in on to the last day of school.......oops, did I just say that???? :)

Kindergarten Registration

So today was a bittersweet day. I registered Brooklyn for Kindergarten for next year. Can you hear me sighing??? WOW! My baby girl is going to be in Kindergarten next year!!!!! I am so happy, but at the same time so sad wondering where those last 5 years went. I remember sending Blake to Kindergarten on the first day of school, and I was so sad. I was thinking how I will be sobbing when I take Brooklyn because she is my baby. Now the time is here and I already want to shed a tear or two. I can only imagine how much I will be crying on her first day of school. I don't want to even think about it! I have been thinking the last few days, as I have been getting all of her documentation ready to take up to school, about her last 5 years. It puts a smile on my face when I think about that little munchkin! I love her so much! I went through some old pics reminiscing about these last few years. I wanted to post some pics of those special memories I will forever hold dear to my heart! My little girl is officially a big girl now! (Tear!!!!)

Jacob

On Thursday I got the pleasure of babysitting the best baby there is......baby Jacob! His mommy went to see her brother in a play, and she asked if I would watch him. Blake and Brooklyn were suppose to be with their dad, but Brooklyn came over while Blake was at basketball practice. I wasn't going to tell the kids he was coming over, because I knew they would be upset they weren't going to be here, but I broke down and told them. Brooklyn decided to skip the practice and come hang out for a little bit. We feed Jacob and played for a little while. He is just the happiest baby in the world. You can just look at him and he smiles so big. So he was such a treat to play with. He fell asleep when I gave him his bottle, so he was very easy to put down! He did wake up about 10:30 and had no idea where he was, so he cried a little bit. His mommy came soon after he had fallen back to sleep. We had a great time playing with him!

"Snow" Day

So Wednesday we had what was called a snow day. In Texas what that really means is there is ice on the road, and no one knows how to drive in it, so we need to cancel school that day. SOOOO, the kids and I were holed up in the house all day. We ended up laying around in our pjs all day, until we decided to walk across the street to the new Market Street (our new favorite hang out!) to get dinner. YUM! The kids got a little bored during the day, so they decided to dress up and put a little show on for me. Here are some pictures of them in their costumes....
